Sure! Develop a relationship with them, the best donors are those who support through more than just money!

In general a small gift ($100?) is a good way to start. Then open the discussion and find out how you can be more generous. I always enjoy seeing pictures or hearing about how my gifts helps people and achieve the goals of an organization!

As much as you want, responsibly. But know that money, especially in developing countries can at times create problems rather than solve them. Cultural norms, the attitude of scarcity and the relative value of a dollar (between you and the receiver) all contribute to the danger of over giving. It’s always wise to start small and build ongoing support slowly. Contact me to discuss this further.
