Hope Haven Rwanda, Kigali, Rwanda
Jason and I had visited this school two years earlier, and at that time, they were just completing a huge addition that roughly doubled the school’s capacity. As it turned out, our visit coincided with the first day of the new school year.
We had the privilege of being the welcoming party for the young children arriving on campus that morning—lots of smiles, lots of hugs—it was a heartwarming experience. Once the welcoming was concluded, we toured the campus, met with staff and students, and saw the amazing work happening there.
East African countries have a national testing system, and there’s no allowance for lack of access to quality education or inability to attend school.
Both Hope Haven and Pioneer School recently received reports for their students taking the test, and both schools placed very well in the national rankings for their students (N/P)
