We met with Cyusa, a gentleman who grew up as an orphan and is now working on his own with a large group of over a thousand young people in the community.
Cyusa’s organization provides alternative positive activities for young people, counseling, guidance regarding life skills, and assistance with education.
Our meeting occurred by chance because XXX was dropping off a young teenage girl at Roger's school. When Jason, Patty, and I learned this man’s story, we asked if we could meet with him, and a meeting was arranged for the next day. We had lunch, talked about his life story, and discussed the work he is doing. As with many of these organizations, Cyusa faces many challenges, primarily related to financial support.
We learned during our meeting that he has 50 students enrolled in schools, and they are, on average, three months behind on tuition.
